Styling idea: I would try the cropped jacket for dinner. It brings attention to the waist and lets the wide-leg shape do its thing. A pointed-toe ankle boot and a small statement earring would finish it.

Another way to wear it: Keep the relaxed blazer, tuck in the top, and roll the sleeves once. I would choose loafers for a more relaxed dinner. Same jeans, a totally different mood.
